It's an idea that's been brewing since Christmas, mostly based on our strong desire to spend more time together as a family and for my husband not to be so isolated from us by working outside the home. We feel that working together at home will fulfill a lot of our needs and desires that are currently unmet, such the spending more time together, spending more time with Bean, providing Bean with other kids to play with, and also increasing our family income.
In the process of thinking about and planning for this big change in our lives, another deep rooted objective has also become clear, and that is to create a place where children feel free to be themselves, to play, to explore, and to learn in a loving nurturing environment. We want to bring our natural parenting philiosphy into the child care setting, something you just don't find in main stream child care services. We hope to make it a place where parents can rest assured in the knowledge that their child is being cared for with gentleness and respect, and where children can, well - just be children.
There's a lot of study, planning, and set up still to do, and i'll be chronicling our progress here on the blog, with the aim to be in business early in the new year. As always I'll still be posting plenty of new play ideas from my days with Bean, as well as articles around natural parenting. I hope you'll join us often here at our new online home...wish us luck!
